MALAM itu, Abu Hurairah mendapat mandat dari Rasulullah SAW untuk menjaga gudang tempat penyimpanan harta zakat. Dengan penuh tanggungjawab, Abu Hurairah melaksanakan tugas tersebut. Tiba-tiba, ia melihat seseorang mengendap-endap di dekat gudang tersebut.
“Hai, siapa kamu? Pasti kamu hendak mencuri! Aku akan melaporkan kamu kepada Rasulllah SAW,” kata Abu Hurairah.
